The actual contracted allowed amounts are also displayed as a percent of Medicare to provide a real-world value for more accurate, straightforward comparisons.

Using Deerhold Contract Rate Explorer, a self-funded employer or health plan adviser can simply input the location of the member population (e.g., MSA), select multiple networks for comparison, and view results that incorporate every procedure, not just the most frequently billed codes. They can filter results by inpatient, outpatient, and professional claims and drill down into specific codes for a more thorough and complete analysis of the entire network.
